Having shapes on the smartboard, for the students to move around,in order  to see if they tessalated; really made the concept stick.
  Students grasped idea of tessellations.
Use www.coolmath4kids.com in computer lab or with computers in class. Also, Pixie for creating tesellations.

We showed videos of landforms.  Students did research on the different landforms.
  Students fully engaged and made concept for solid.
Have students go to Pixie and make an illustration of landforms.
Metric capacity

The visual of seeing how much is in a metric unit.  
    Have the students create a demonstration of how much is in a metric unit.
Notebook on Geometry (plane figures)
  Helped us explain the concepts of angles using the protractor.  
    Making this more interactive for the students.

Weekly spelling and vocabulary notebooks
By being able to show the words as more of an interactive activity, has increased student retention.
